General Overview notes: The BusLogic SCSI driver is designed to support the 747C and 445C series SCSI adapters from BusLogic. This driver is specifically designed to support the 32bit extended modes supported by these adapters. In comparison to the Adaptec 154x compatible mode previously used to support the 747S and 445S adapters, these extended modes provide additional performance, and remove the double buffering required by the16MB address limitation. This driver may work with other versions of BusLogic SCSI adapters such as the 545C, 747S and 445S. Since these adapters are supported in Adaptec compatibility mode with the existing Adaptec 154x driver, this driver will only be tested and supported on the latest generation, higher performance 747C and 445C series adapters. Note: In general this driver was designed to work with any BusLogic bus master SCSI adapter.

Special Features of Driver / Driver Notes: The onboard floppy controller, available on some cards, is not supported.

BusLogic firmware revs. before 4.25J may not work with this driver. In particular, firmware version 4.21 had a bug, which caused the Read Capacity data to be read up incorrectly.
BusLogic 946C rev A and B do not work with our driver.
